Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

My father recently passed away in Florida, where he was living. He was married but separated from my mom, living in Arizona. He was living with a casual girlfriend at the time (lease was in his name and all possessions were his), who has taken all of his possessions, so we aren’t even able to see what was in his will. Does she have rights to his belongings because she was living in his apartment?

She probably doesn't have the right to the roll of toilet paper in the bathroom, much less any of your dad's possessions.Your dad's estate needs to hire a lawyer in the town in which he was living at the time of his death, and the lawyer should have much experience in probate matters. Do not delay.
