Father may have no will

My father resides in FL with his wife/girlfriend(I don't know if they ever married.) I am the only child of my father. Will I automatically get his assetts if he does not have a will? Or will I need to challange her thru the court system?

If he has no will and yo are his closest living relative, you will be entitled to inherit .
