Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

Father's Death

My father died with a few thousand

dollars of debt. His only assets are

his truck that is also in my name and

his back account. My name is also on

the account. We never went to

court after he died. My brothers and

I paid the funeral bill with our money

and marked ''deceased'' on his bills

and sent them back. If the bank

gives me access to his bank account

since my name was on it, do I have

to legally pay any of his debts with it?

Do I have to sell his truck and pay

debts with it since my name was on

it too? Are we legally required to go

to court for probate? I am interested

in knowing what our obligations are

as his sons.
