Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

My fiance's father passed away last week. He did not have a will. Besides my fiance, he did have one other son. However, this son was adopted at a young age by another man. Even after he turned 18 he never made any attempts to be close with his father. Now, after his death he feels entitled to many of his things. Legally, would he be entitled to any of it even after being adopted?

You will need to have the estate administered in probate, and the heirs at law will be determined at that time.
