how do i find a probate case # or find out what state probate is open in new york or florida?

Most of it is on line in Florida if you know the county. Where it would be would be where the decedent resided. If he has property in a state other than where he resided, then it would be in the county of the property.

As a probate attorney, I can find it pretty easy, if it is there. If you have a probate issue, you should consult with a probate attorney. He probably could find it faster than you.
