Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida
How to find a will
My GreatPapa died years ago in Florida. He left his estate to his grandchildren once Greatnana died. She had been living off the interest in Florida. She moved to Germany 3 years ago, up and gone. We just got word that she has passsed. Is there anyway of finding out if there are 2 wills out there?, we know that they had lots of $ and we are the only living family. How can I go about searching for them, if there is a way? Thank You.

Grandmother died in Germany
Sounds like you're going to have to hire a lawyer (either in NC or Florida or both) to see what they can turn up (maybe with the help of a private investigator) to see what can be turned up in Florida and in Germany. Either that or you do a LOT of research and footwork yourselves.
Check first with the probate court in the jurisdiction where G.P. died.
They may show a probate inventory of some size.
See if you can get a tax return (form 706) filed for hisestate which might show money he left for her lifetimeuse (interest only), remainder to you, in trust. That shouldcome now to you, very likely.
Good luck! I'm sure you'll inherit some serious money out ofthis.
Germany may have lower estate tax rates than the US and G.M. may have done well for you to have died there.
