Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

Florida inheritance law

Visiting nurse from Hungary married the man in Florida that she took care of. They've moved back to their native country in Hungary. Man died a few years later of cancer. The estate in Florida went to the children. Does the wife have any claim to it & if she does, what is the statue of limitation ?

Re: Florida inheritance law

Yes, she does. That should have been raised in the probate of the husband's estate. You may need to reopen the estate. If none was started, one will need to be started.
