Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

Does Florida law allow a biological son to sue for inheritance from his father (who left no will.)with whom he has had contact and gifts in recent years though he was adopted by another family and until the last decade never knew who his bilogical family was?

If you were adopted, his rights ended and I don't believe you can then collect from your bio father, in the absence of a will leaving you something.
