Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida
What form would a final accounting take for a Personal Representative (Power of Attorney) who only served for a matter of weeks before another personal representative was assigned?
I was my mother's personal representative after my father passed away for just a few weeks before my sister had my mother sign a new Power of Attorney document assigning herself as my mother's personal representative. My mother had already been diagnosed with alzheimers disease at the time and the new POA is now being challenged in court in NJ by my other siblings and myself. The court has removed my sister as my mother's guardian and has assigned a court appointed attorney as the temporary guardian while the investigation proceeds. My sister has been directed by the court to provide a full accounting to the court within 30 days. I am anticipating that I will be expected to provide some accounting to the court of my actions during the few weeks that I actually exercised the POA and I do not know what form that should take. Any suggestions?

check with a New Jersey Attorney. Where does your mother reside?
