Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida
My friend and his wife (deceased now 3 years) has an attorney that did their rev. trust 4 years ago. There have been some minor changes over the years but it has pretty much stayed the same except that my friend, not getting along well with his children, put the attorney as the executer of the trust. My friend has been continually asking for a bill from the attorney but has yet to receive one for any of the work done on the trust. The last time he requested a bill was around 6 months ago and the attorney told him he had just been a little slack and would work on it and get it out to him. As of today he still has not seen a bill from this attorney. Is this standard procedure for a trust? When my parents did their trust they went to the attorney, paid his fee (around $800) and they were done. I've suggested to my friend that he may want to find out if this is appropriate. Please advise and thank you in advance.

Tell your friend to get a new attorney . . . this is highly unusual.
