gain ownership of property
my grandmother passed and had no will, but i had power of attorney. all she had was a house that is free and clear.
my cousin is trying to buy house. what steps do i need to take.

Your power of attorney ended when your grandmother died. To sell the home you will need to open a probate estate, have have the court determine heirs and grant someone (you) authority to sell the property. It should not be a complex matter assuming no family will contest it. I would estimate you should be able to have it done for around a thousand dollars.
