Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

Grandma talked into changing will

I am writing this for my special needs son Jeffrey. He lost his Dad on 4/16/08 and shortly after his grandpa called me to tell me all was ok with their will and to never let Larry (Dads brother) have control of our estate. He said I don't trust Larry, never have and never will. Grandma heard whole conversation and agreed. Grandpa passed about 6 months later. In 2010 Larry went to visit grandma in Florida which he had not seen for many years and at that time her will was changed. She left Jeffrey out of will totally and he was not allowed to get any memories or anything that Grandma and Grandpa promised him. I got a lawyer and he filed a lawsuit and was moving forward but I could not afford to pay him anymore money so I had to agree to dismiss the case. I am having a very hard time with the outcome and strongly feel Grandma was coerced into changing the will. Lawyer agreed. I feel that she was told by Larry to not include Jeff who is heir to his Dad because Jeff would be taken care of by the state because of him being special needs. My son got nothing that he was promised. The memories that he was promised would mean more to him than money. I am seeking a lawyer to do pro bono/contingency as I just cannot afford anymore money. My son deserves and so do I to know why this happened. I pray that a lawyer can help me open this case back up. There is much more to tell you but hopefully you will understand what I am trying to say so far. Thank you for your time in reading this and I look forward to a response as soon as possible.

Sincerely,

Josette Colquitt for Jeffrey Colquitt

If you can not afford an attorney then you need to apply to the legal aid offices to get help in finding a pro bono attorney. If you are from Jacksonville, there are two offices here - JALA (Jacksonville Area Legal Aid) and Three Rivers.
