Grandmother Property Not Probated

After Mothers death,tripped over information that property still in deceased Grandmothers name.There was no Will nor Probate. Have futilly attempted to resolve this matter for all Siblings,but,Grandmother had two children who are now deceased.Uncle and his spouse have known of this.What can Siblings do? They will gain 1/5 % each of proceeds, if any and Uncle's Spouse 50%.She refuses to resolve this matter.

Grandmother's property will have to be probated to change ownership. You do not say if someone is paying property taxes or who is currently using the property. Any potential heir or ceditor of the estate could start the probate process. Lastly, I am not sure I agree with how you have potentially divided this estate. I suggest you speak with a probate attorney in your area.
