Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

House in trust

I would like to put my son's name on the deed to my house as the beneficiary after my husband and I both die. In other words that he would own it after our death. Can I do that without benefit of an attorney? Is their a form that I can have notarised and record with the county?

Thank you for your time

Re: House in trust

There are forms in the market place you could use, but I have trouble recommending them to you. I think there are other issues to be concerned with here. For example, you may be creating a situation where current or future creditors of your son will have a claim on your property. Your house may be one of your largest assets. I think you need to discuss this issue with an attorney you trust and if that costs a little it might well be worth it in the long run.
