Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida
If my husband and I have a will, POA and health directives drawn up in GA and now are residents of FL, do we have to have all of these documents done over here?

If the documents satisfy the legal requirements of Florida (and should if they satisfy the
legal requirements of GA), it is not required that they be prepared again, however, for
DPOA's and health directives, a medical facility or agency may require specific information
or prefer one signed within a certain time period.
Mr. Martin is correct. Make sure the Florida formalities have been followed and the documents will be enforceable here.
I agree with my colleagues. If I can be of assistance please contact my office for an appointment (904-997-1031). I will be more than happy to draw up your new directives.
