How would I include an illegitimate child in my will so that they would get the same amount as my children, without disclosing the illegitimate child's existance to my family?

The only way would instead leave it to a set up trust that provides for the child. What would happen is that they would see the Trust as a beneficiary, but wouldn't know its purpose. However, they may try to find it out. It's the best you can try.

You could do a life insurance policy payable only to the beneficiary which would be the child on your passing. However, here again, if someone wanted to find out about the life insurance policy they could find out about it but not who the beneficiary was.

The beneficiaries must be named in the will. You need not mention the relationship.
