Life Estate and Credit card debt

Please Help,

My mom passed away and I am the only one on the recorded Life Estate. I was her only child. She also had an earlier will made up and recorded prior to the life estate, but it also gave me everything. She owed three credit card companies money. Her life estate consisted of two properties one of which was her Homestead. Am I liable for the debt or should I send the card companies a certified letter with her cerfified death certificate? Also is there anything else I need to do as far as with the state or county and re-recording the life estate, etc.

You should call me for advice. Been practicing probate law in Florida more than 20 years. Do not pay any debts until you speak with me.
