Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

I would like to know if I can do a living trust myself without going through a lawyer and I would also like to know if I can turn my home over to my son with a right to live until death for me without going through a lawyer as I am on a fixed income and can not afford to hire an attorney to do these things for me.

There is no requirement that you have a lawyer. It would be risky not to.

I would not recommend doing this without the assistance of an attorney. It is too risky unless you know exactly what you are doing. There are homestead and tax issues you should be informed about. It would probably be better to spend a little money, then to have things go horribly wrong. Contact a few attorneys, and if you can't find an affordable one, call a local legal aid clinic for help.
