A living will is not the same as a legal will. A living will only provides instructions regarding future health care treatment. On the other hand, a legal will provides instructions for the disposal of personal property at death. Property disposed of by will is not protected from creditors. If you would like specific legal advice regarding whether your trust protects your assets from creditors, you should consult with an attorney.
