Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

A Lost Will becomes Found

Hi,

I have a question about what would happen in the following situation.

An individual dies without a will. As such, a valuable item gets inherited by a family member, which is then sold to someone else outside of the family.

Years later, a will of the deceased individual is found and it is realized that the valuable item was left to someone specificcompletely different.

Who would own the item? Its current owner? Or would the item change ownership to the name in the will?

I hope that makes sense.

Thanks!
