Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida
My never married brother left his sister and brother-in-law that he grew up with his estate. His other half sisters that he met after he was an adult are now threatening to contest the will for equal shares. They have not kept in contact with him over the years, I might add. What do I do?

Retain counsel to probate his estate and prepare for a possible will contest. Good luck.
I agree with Mr. Slater. Consult with an attorney that handles probate matters in the state where your brother last resided. If your brother left a will, preference for who administers the estate (Personal Representative) will be given to the person named in the will. If there is no will, you can consult with the attorney on filing a Petition to become Personal Representative. The attorney will help evaluate the estate assets and determine which assets need to go through probate, and will assist in determining the beneficiaries along with their shares of the estate.
One choice would be to do nothing until you get a letter from an attorney.
The most common reasons to contest a will are undue influence or incompetence
which they would have to prove.
Seek counsel. No need to do anything but probate and wait for the alleged claim. Act quickly to move the estate along
