Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

My mom has a deed with LE (life estate) to my sister and I. My sister wanted me to sign a quit claim deed for my part of the home. I didn't do it. She also now has POA, and I want to know can she use this POA to get me off the deed? My mother has slight dementia.

First you have to see if it is a Lady Bird LE (where there is a chance), or a standard LE Deed (where there is nothing a POA could do).

Even with a Lady Bird LE Deed, an agent under a POA is not to use it for their own benefit.

A Guardianship may also be under consideration.
