Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida
My mother died six years ago and owned private stock in the company she worked for in Florida. They recently contacted my sister and me to inform us of the holding and would like to offer cash disbursement. The question is will they pay out the cash value of the stock at its current price or at the price at the time of her death?

Since it is a private company, they should be able to payout at the rate at the time of her death. these funds should have been placed in an account to remain secure until disbursement.
