Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

My mother passed away 6 1/2 years ago. This week I received a check from a class action settlement written to EST OF "my mother". It is only for $25.08. My mother had no estate. Can I just deposit it into my account?

Technically no. Why not try asking the issuer if they will reissue check to you. If not, then legal pursuit of the Estate is worthless as it will cost more than the check.
