Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida
my mother passed away several years ago and i never saw her will but she said that when she and my step father died the estate was to be divided between us. My step father passed away this year and i was contacted by my step brother about his passing, he stated that my step father told him I said i didnt want any of my mothers things even though we hadnt spoken for years. Now when i ask my step brother for a copy of my mothers will i get no answer, i do not know if it was ever filed or its status. I live in florida, do I have any rights or expectations to claim any part of the estate or did i lose that when my mother passed away. Also the step brother was named the executor as well. I have no way of knowing if it was filed, what was in either will or anything also several thousands of dollars in bonds were missing intended for my kids from their grandmother, what or anything can I do

you really should consult with a probate attorney to discuss the details and facts of your situation. It may be that you have some claim to property.
