Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

If one is named as beneficiary of a trust, do they have to raise the minor child

My sister has been named the beneficiary of a trust for a minor child. In the case of the child's parents death, does she have to rasie that child? Is there legal paperwork that she must sign or can the child's parents just name her as the beneficairy?

You probably mean that your sister is named as trustee of the trust for a minor child. This only pertains to the property of the child. If the child's parents die, there will be guardianship proceedings to determine who will be in charge of the person of the child apart from his or her property. It may or may not end up being your sister depending on several factors and it certainly does not have to be if she doesn't want the job.
