Since there are number of issues and perhaps legal "causes of action" that could be involved, including Negotiable Instruments law, Gifts, joint property rights, Agency DPOA powers, POA bank accounts, and abouse of elderly, etc, my advice is to seek an attorney to look into the case on a contingent fee basis if they are willing. You may have to pay some money up front but it could be worth it. There are Trust & Estate litigators around and you can either check with the Bar Association, on line through Lawyers.com ; or look in your phone directory listings.
