Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

I want to omit several members of my "immediate" family from my Will. However, a friend recently told me that I have to leave them at least $10 or they can contest the Will. Is this true (as it applies to Daughter, Grandchild, Son-in-Law)?

No, you do not have to leave them at least $10.

No. Don't leave them anything, or they become beneficiaries under the Will entitled to certain rights as a beneficiary. Just mention that you are not providing for them, so they can't later claim you accidentally left them out.
