Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida
Outstanding Debt
Idividual signed and agreed to a secured debt with my father for $100,000. My father has since deceased. The
individual has paid minimal amounts towards the balance due. I am interested in my options to recovering the remaining amount due towards my father's estate.

Re: Outstanding Debt
The estate can pursue the debt like any other debt. Litigation may be necessary. Good luck.

Re: Outstanding Debt
If you have not opened probate you will need to do so. The personal representative of the estate will be the person with authority to collect the debt on behalf of the estate of your father.
