Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

Ownership Rights

Is my elderly father able to remove my name from all of his properties ? I signed the deed for co-ownership and have my name on his stock market portfolio. Because of a falling out we have had, I am sure he will try to remove my name.(and rewrite the will removing me as executor.) All of this because he wants me to take care of him and leave my husband and my home for good. HIs residence is in Indiana- I live in Florida.

Thank you

Lyn

Re: Ownership Rights

Most likely not able to remove you from the deeds if you are a co-owner. It would depend on how you are listed on the deed. He has every right to change his will for any reason, so long as he is competent and not under duress.

As for the stock portfolio it will depend on how you are listed on this account as well.
