If the will is in probate, a copy is at the county courthouse where the decedent lived, with all the information you need.

The probate proceeding should take place in the county where this person died. Most Florida counties have online civil docket filings where you can look up the case file by the decedent's name.

You can see an example on how to do it in Jacksonville on my blog here: http://kellenbryantlaw.wordpress.com/2009/12/03/how-do-i-find-out-the-status-of-a-probate-case-in-jacksonville-florida-without-an-attorney/

If you cannot look it up online, try calling the clerk of court - probate division in that county, and ask them if a probate file has been opened up for this person you are looking for.

Whether you do it online or via phone, you can find out the attorney's name from the court filings.

The will must be filed in the courthouse. Look there (in the county where he died).

The will is filed in the courthouse in the area where the deceased person lived. Check with that courthouse and get a copy of the will (to see if you were left an inheritance). You should also be able to find out the attorney's name from the probate file. Then you can give him or her a call. Regards,
