When mom passed away in 2007 my sister who is the p.r. never took an inventory of the personal property claiming mom did not have anything of value however mom had the contents of her home insured for 225,000 according to her ins policy what can i do and who would be responsible for this

My homeowners policy automatically insures my contents for about 1/2 of the value of the home, while my contents are probably worth 1/50th of the value of my home. So what you described may not be meaningful.
