can a personal representative sell property of the deceased? In other words is a personal representative the same as the executor?

Yes, unless the will, trust, or order of the court provides otherwise. Generally,
the PR has power to manage and sell property consistent with the intent
expressed in the will by the testator, same as an executor.

A Personal Representative is the same as an Executor, Executrix, Administrator or Administratrix. In Florida they created one term to refer to all 4 related alternatives.
Yes, a Personal Representative could sell property that is part of the probated estate. However, they couldn't necessarily do it for real estate, and sometimes they need court approval to sell.
