Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida
Personal representative and trustee compensation
After my father passed away, estate was valued over 10 million dollars. Final accounting was done, and personal rep received over $300,000. in fees. Estate was then equally divided into 2 trusts, which personal rep currently administers. What compensation by FL law is trustee entitled to for administration of trusts and is he entitled to receive comp. annually based on trust amount, or based on final accounting of estate inventory value? Or has he already been compensated by the estate? What is FL law regarding ROI on trust assets?

Re: Personal representative and trustee compensation
There is no statutory amount. If the beneficiaries and trustee cannot agree, the court will set the fee based on the size of the trust, the work done and the results.
