Hi, I am considering a petition to partition a property that I inherited a 1/4 share of in Florida. Efforts to sell the 1/4 portion to the person owning the other 3/4 shares has failed. Looking for information on approximate cost of this type of action. Thank you.

Most attorneys would handle this on an hourly basis. The basic costs are about $1000, although they can go higher depending on depositions and discovery which may be needed. I would estimate the hours to get to a final hearing to be about 40-50 and that would be at the hourly rate of the attorney you choose. See if you can find an attorney who would handle it at a flat rate for you.
