Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida
Petition for Trust Accounting
I need to petition the court for a trust accounting. Is this something I can do myself. If not, how difficult and expensive is it? I am a remainderman and have requested this information from the trustees and haven't received a thing in 5 years.

If you have access to the court file and Florida Statutes you may be able to bring on the appropriate proceeding. Your appearance in court may be necessary. Otherwise, use an attorney.
Re: Petition for Trust Accounting
Any contested issue in trust administration may be brought back into court by petition. While the petition itself is not all that complex, it must be recognized that this then becomes litigation. Most lawyers aren't even litigators. For that reason, you need a qualified litigator who has also had experience dealing with trust administration litigation.
