Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

as power of attorney for my uncle in florida, he has asked me to take care of all his things if he becomes incapacitated. he also told me that he wants me to have and/or disperse any assets that may be in place at his death. he has a daughter and a step daughter. he wants neither of them to have anything. i want to respect his wishes but want to know if i really have the right to settle his estate and disperse any if anything upon his death. am i opening myself up to a lawsuit if i sell and disperse his assets to other family and not his daughter and step daughter...which is his wish?

Once he dies your power of attorney has no legal effect. It is important that he has a good estate plan in place because of the problems you see now. If you need my help on setting up the estate plan write me an e-mail with your phone number to discuss further.
