Father died lelf will, I am the leagle rep, included in will are three born chrildren and fivestep kids. All are grown.Was paying on property valued at $20.000.00 I have been paying all the bills involved in the property. Was told I need to do a Homested and the will so crediters could not attach any thing. My queistion is I will be concidered a crediter so how am I to get all the money back that I have and wiil be paid out. The others have not paid any thing. I was lelft the inxurance and paid all the funeral bills. There is not that much money involved. So I will realy be out a lot by paying every thing then hoping the rest will pay me back.Can you plesae help me?If I contiun with every thing as I have been doing I will have paid out close to if not over $15.000.00.I do not think it is faire that I pay every thing and not get it back. Thank You

Based on your information, you would likely be entitled to reimbursement for estate expenses paid by you as well as compensation for acting as personal representative. It is necessary for you to request the court to appoint a pers. rep ad litem to evaluate your claim objectively. Also, you could request such payment directly from the court, considering the size and family nature of the estate.

The court would appoint a personal resentative ad litem to examine your claim. You would be the personal representative for all other aspects of the estate, except for your claim.
