Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

production of will

My father named me as executor of his will but by the time

He had passed he had everything transferred on death or deeded over to whom

He wished to have it. Now his wife of two years who got only an insurance policy

Has hired a lawyer who has sent me a notice,

( YOU ARE NOTIFIED that a petition by surviving spouse for an order requiring

production of will has been filed in this court you are required to serve written defenses

on the undersigned within 20 days after service of notice to file the original of the written

defenses with the clerk of the above court either before service or immediately thereafter

failure to serve and file written defenses as required may result in judgment or order

for the relief demanded in the pleading or motion without further notice.)

Am I legally obligated to do so ? the court is a grate distances from me .

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME
