Protect assets

Can an estate be filed in such a way as to protect the assets from being used in defense of a wife arrested for the murder of her husband?

Florida and ten other states have passed the uniform disclaimer of transfers by will, intestacy or appointment act. A person who kills or participates in the killing of another person will take nothing from the decedent's estate. In addition, property held by the killer and the decedent "with rights of survivorship" to not pass to the killer by operation of law and life insurance is paid out as if the killer had pre-deceased the the decedent.
