Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

Putting house in a family members name is it legal?

I am the administrator of my father estate. Half of the house is in one of my sisters name, my father put her name on the house for medical reason. we agreed to her name to be put on the proprety and at the time of his death the house would be sold and divided equaly. The other half of the house is still in my fathers name. Can I put the other half of the house in one of other sisters name and is there a certain amount I half to charge?

Re: Putting house in a family members name is it legal?

You are not the administrator of your father's estate unless a probate court has appointed you to that position. If you are appointed personal representative then you have retained a Florida attorney who should be able to answer your questions. If you have not been appointed personal representative then you have no rights to sell or transfer propery that is in your father's name at any cost. I think you need to speak with your atttorney and if you do not have an attorney then you need to retain one.
