Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

My stepfather died and left everything to his neighbor. We had a joint checking account together but not with ROS. Which we didn't know about. Not having seen the will the bank told me the money was mine so I opened another account and froze the original one. Now he has taken over the original account again which leads us to believe that he was given rights to everything. Neither I or the bank were notified of this. I have sent for a copy of the will and the court clerk said that because he was left everything that the will did not have to be probated. Can we be sued?

you need to contact an attorney who specializes in Probate to fully discuss this matter, If I am not mistaken you have been seeking answers for a couple of days and each time the information you provide is a little different.
