simple estate

My Father has recently passed away and in his will he has left my brother in charge. would you please tell me what it means for him to have full power in his diacretion without any court order or proceeding. Thank you.

I believe your question is referring to leaving your brother as the Personal Representative of the estate. As Personal Representative, your brother has the responsibility of protecting assets during the administration period. He needs to admit any existing will to probate and be appointed by the court to be the Personal Representative. He'll have the duty to pay debts, file taxes, and distribute assets as directed by Florida law and the will.
