what is the statue of limitations for grand theft?

Usually it's five years in Florida.

The theft statute is unusual in that all theft charges have a 5 year statute of limitations, regardless of felony or misdemeanor. This is unlike most felonies which have a 3 or 4 year limitation and misdemeanors which have a 1 or 2 year limitation.
