I don't understand why you are so confused by a "Notice of Dropping Parties." The plaintiff has chosen to drop one or more named defendants from its lawsuit. If you are named in the Notice as a party being dropped, then good for you, you have been dropped from the suit. If you're not named in the Notice as a party being dropped, then don't worry about it; someone else is dropped. The plaintiff is required to serve ALL DOCUMENTS in the lawsuit on you, whether they directly pertain to you or not.
Now, go worry about defending the suit. Get a lawyer to help if you don't understand what is going on.
