summary adminstration
my friend died with no assets and no debt---nothing in his name. his wife has to do probate in order to get the life insurance policy from england. the will was done in florida. there are thousands of dollars in hospital bills, but no other debt. can my friend do summary administration?

A summary administration can be filed for an estate with less than $75,000.00 in assets or if the decedent died more than two years ago. Your friend should consult an attorney who can help her in filing the estate.
