Transfer Home with a Lien

If I will my home to my son will a current lien on the home prevent the transaction.

No, but he takes it with the lien.

No -- but the lien does not go away. The lien remains with the house. Depending on the type of lien, the lien may need to be satisfied before transfer or the house may have to be sold to satisfy the lien if other assets in the estate cannot do so.
