Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

Trust

I have a Trust Document drafted by my attorney, FBO of my daughter, revocable, very standard language. I want to change the ''secondary'' Trustee and change one line regarding her age for final distribution. My attorney retired.

Questions: Can I make changes myself by replacing two pages? Are Trusts ''filed'' w/ the court? If I make the above changes do I need to ''file'' it? Where? Do I need to get a tax ID number for the trust now, and open an account that will eventually receive my Life Insurance proceeds that will fund the trust? I do not own a home at this time, the Trust will be funded by $700,000.00 of Life Insurance. I'm 53, my daughter is 16. I have custody and primary care.

Re: Trust

Unless the agreement provides otherwise, you can amend a trust. A trust need not be filed with the court.
