My father just passed away and I have a check in his name. Can I sign it and deposit it in the trust account?

If the check is made out to him individually then you will probably have trouble depositing it into the Trust until you have been appointed by the court.

You may be able to contact the maker of the check and see if they will re-issue it to the Trust.
