Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida
trust/life estate
Stepmother owns 30% of Fl house and has life estate. I own 70% as part of deceased father's trust. No other assets in Father's trust. House needs roof. I can't pay. She wants to buy me out, but in this depressed housing market, I don't want to sell. Do I have any other options?

Depending on her age, she may have an obligation to pay for some or most of the roof. Try taking out an equity loan.
